I’m Kristoffer, a data engineer and software engineer originally from Sweden and now based in Texas. My background spans full-stack development, distributed systems, automation, and cloud infrastructure. Over the years, I’ve worked across telecom environments, backend systems, and independent product development, including building and operating a SaaS application under my own LLC.
I bring over seven years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in automation, CI/CD, and backend systems. More recently, my focus has shifted toward data engineering, where I’ve been designing and building cloud-native data pipelines and analytics platforms using modern architectural patterns. My work emphasizes correctness, replayability, and long-term maintainability, drawing heavily on a systems-oriented engineering mindset.
I work primarily in Python, SQL, and Java, and I’m comfortable moving across layers—from ingestion and transformation logic to orchestration, testing, and deployment. What drives me is building systems that not only function, but function reliably over time: systems that are observable, well-documented, and easy for other engineers to understand and extend.
Whether the task is designing a data pipeline, strengthening a backend system, or helping modernize cloud infrastructure, I approach problems with a focus on clarity, ownership, and pragmatic trade-offs. I work independently or integrate seamlessly with existing teams, maintaining professional communication and delivering solutions that are built to last.

A little about what I enjoy when I’m not building systems
Outside of work, I enjoy running, golf, board games with my wife and kids, and spending time outdoors hiking and traveling. Since moving to Texas, I’ve also picked up deer hunting over the past couple of seasons — it’s been a rewarding way to get outside and learn something completely new.
